My ibook has not woken up from sleep properly since i got this ibook. Then 2-3 months or so goes by and it does the same thing. We did a PMU reset a reformat. Then the Hard drive goes. So i lost all my data. Now I sent it back for repair and they supposedly repaired the ibook. The hard drive works now but the sleep issue is still there. When I open the lid it the screen never comes back it needs to restarted everytime this happens. Apple wants me to ship my ibook back for repair for another week. They sold me a lemon and I am the suffer. All this after switching for a PC that never had these issues. never lost a hard drive on my PC or had any issue with my PC going to sleep. This might very well be my last apple product since it seems they dont know how to repair computers.

Do you have a question?

It would help if you told us what kind of iBook you have. Also what OS you are running, amount of RAM, any upgrades, and anything attached (mouse, printer, scanner). Could be a software problem.

well its an ibook G4 933 with 256mb ram, combo drive, and airport extreme. Everything is still configured the way that it came. Its running Os X 10.3.3. All updates installed. If i close the lid to transport the ibook from my house to school, when i get to school the ibook wont power up. It will just have a black screen when I open it. You can still hear the hard drive moving and clicking away but nothing on the screen. When you press the power button, and hold it. You can hear the hard drive slowing to a stop and when you hit the power button again the computer starts up fine. I already did a PMU reset, reformatted the computer, apple has already replaced the hard drive. I have no idea what else to do. When I called for my last repair when they replaced a bad hard drive, they said they cant ship out the ibook till they test it and guess what they tested and shipped me the ibook with the same freaking problems. Currently the ibook has been shipped back to apple to see if they can fix it. But the tech said if they can reproduce the problem they cant fix it. Well the sleep issue does not happen all the time its very sapratic. My first apple product and I am not getting a great impression with apple at this moment.
