I just want to say "welcome" to the best mac site I have ever found. These folks are absolutely the most helpful in the world. I have had a 12" powerbook for over a year and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I too bought "Apple" memory because I had heard too many horror stories of bad memory and powerbooks. My powerbook has worked flawlessly since the day I bought it. You might want to consider Applecare if you didn't purchase it, since you are dealing with a laptop. I use MS Office, Appleworks and do email and internet with mine. I tried Virtual PC, but found it was very slow and I really never used it. I have been very pleased with the mac software I have found. (I was a pc user for many years and still use both at my work.) I do prefer OS X now!

Anyway, welcome!

Jim

This was supposed to be a reply to the new mac user post. Please move it if you can. Sorry.
