Shameless copy from my post at AYM to follow...

Just a quick positive Apple Experience.

I purchased a used Ti with Apple Care. It has a bum optical drive so I called Apple for service.
It turned out that the original owner never enrolled the Powerbook so the plan was not valid.

I was told to obtain a copy of the receipt for the AC, and to fax it in to Apple as they needed to verify that the plan was purchased within one year of the original PowerBook purchase date.

The original owner dug up the electronic email receipt and sent it to me.

Tonight I called Apple to get the fax number and relevant details.
One thing led to another and an AC administrator took my info over the phone and enrolled me on the spot.

Note:
It turns out that the original owner purchased the AC plan, via the Apple Store, almost exactly a year, down to the minute, from the initial purchase date.
Talk about making it just under the wire..

Anyhow, Apple saved me the time of faxing in the information, and it was literally after closing time.
