Hello all, my YDL 3.0 install went well on my iBook (Iam running it now) , with the entire configuration working well. The only problem is that I must have made a mistake when choosing the Macosx partition in Yaboot. If I choose startup to Macosx, the system hangs. Can someone tell me how to configure yaboot, or get into OSX another way?

Are you running YDL 3.0.1 or 3.0?

If you are running Panther you need 3.0.1. I think there are problems booting OSX if you are running 10.3 and YDL 3.0.

I believe 3.0.1 adds support for HFS+ journaled. But that might only be required for accessing your OS X data from within YDL, not booting.

Check the How To section of the YDL website for info on redoing yaboot settings. You will have to boot into OpenFirmware to do it, so be sure to print out a copy or something.

By the way, this topic really doesn't have anything to do with iBooks, so next time you might want to try another forum, like the UNIX one in the case of YDL-related questions.

well the easiest thing to do was simply reinstall YDL and choose the correct partition this time around. All is now running perfectly with both OSes.

If you figure out how to get Mac On Linux (MOL) working let me know. I've given up on it.
