The powerbook REALLY get's hot when you use it
at full powers (no powersaving at all).

I'm curious to the long-term effects this have
on the powerbook.

I noticed that mine (17 " 1.33 version) got EXTREMELY
hot to the degree that I can hardly touch the bottom-alu
at all, but the macine became a LOT faster, also for
surfing the net & garageband etc.

What's your experience?

i assume your talking bout plugged in. i use this computer at full blast and notice when it gets to 140 degrees, it will become EXTREMELY slow. i desperately need a cooling pad. any pad suggestions?

when plugged in my powerbook (15) i set it to sleep in an hour, display off in 30 minutes, hard disks spin down, but cpu at full.
