about three weeks ago, i sent in my 1.25 albook to have the screen replaced due to a whitespot. now, a "U" shaped mark is appearing on the screen. clearly, i'll be sending it out again to have the screen replaced. does anyone know if apple finally has a permanent fix for this? i know that the spots have been attributed to the top case pressing on the screen. has anyone asked to have this part of the case replaced, as a possible fix? i know that they didn't replace the case part before, as it still had all of its blemishes. thanks.

i remember back when this board was ablaze with posts about the whitespot issue people were talking about how they were getting various parts replaced.

search the board i am sure you will find many topics. try the sticky one about what a white spot looks like. i can not remember if that one helps about parts though.
