I just upgraded my memory in my Rev A 17in PB and just noticed the memory slot names in System Profile. One is named SODIMM0/J20STANDARD and the other one is named SODIMM1/J23REVERSED. What is the meaning of "REVERSED"?

I used Crucial 512MB 200-pin DDR PC2700.

One DIMM is installed label side up. The other is a reversed slot where you install label side down.

In this way, data and address lines line up back to back so there's only a split and short board trace to connect between the two DIMMs. Shorter trace would reduce reflections on the signals and improve transmission.
