ECC Ram in a Powerbook G4?

I realize that the Powerbook doesn't require ECC RAM. But I found a good deal on a 1GB ECC SO-DIMM and in my experience, most machines will simply use ECC RAM in non-ECC mode if it is installed. Has anyone tried ECC RAM in their Powerbook G4 12"?
