Anyway.. I ordered a second pb from apple.com and was surprised by quite a number of things. I orderd a refurb 1 ghz 12" w/superdrive.. the description showed 40gb hd and 256 ram. I was pleased to discover that instead of receiving the described pb, I received a 12" superdrive with and 80 gb hd and 768 ram. I was thinking my lucky day.

But I guess I wasn't that lucky.. after installing the AE card.. my pb wouldn't start. I did the troubleshooting with no avail. So i guess Im either stuck with a bad AE card.. or the pb itself has an internal problem. Im stuck trying to decide if I should send it in for and exchange, or return it and get an updated pb.

Of course I will try and get ahold of a new AE card and see if Ill be able to power up after that.

I don't think it's a problem with the AE card. Good luck trading it for an updated PB. They will fix it for sure but I don't think you will have any luck going a different route.
