If I take out the 2x burner in the power book will it work in the ibook. What I want to do is sell the power book super drive to my freind I don't know how much I can get but sell it to him and he sticks it in his laptop. Do they sell the 4x burner yet?!?!? With those specs of higher every thing.

Which iBook? Basically, slot loading vs tray loading makes a difference in the install.

As for buying the uj-825, a google will find it for 289.

the new ibook hes gettin the 12 inch ibook with a cd rom drive. The point is to sell him the 2x burner for close to the same price as the 4x combo drive but not quite. I wnat a 4x burner in my 17 inch 1st gen power book that is the main reason.

If you purchased the UJ-825 SuperDrive and put it in a Rev. B 17 Inch Powerbook, will it work with all the iApps, and run at the full speed (4x)?

So,

Do the new PowerBooks 1.5 Ghz (15") utilize the Panasonic
UJ-825-B Slim Multi Drive for shipping models? or some other model? ...Where can I find this information?

Thanks,
