I am a recent convert to the Mac world. Actually, I was converted away when I was younger, but now I am back. That's my point.

I see these new PBs and want one really bad, but I have heard bad things about the previous ALPBs and was wondering if anyone who is getting, or has gotten the new PBs has noticed any problems or oddities they would like to share with the world.

The only thing I am really interested in, er, worried about, is the white spots. I know there are no new white spot posts, but this is not really regarding the previous ALPBs, as much as the new ones. I want to know if this is still going to be a problem, of it it has been fixed.

I think that has been fixed. I wouldn't worry about that particular issue.

I believe that problem has been fixed at the end of 15" RevA cycle.

it seems that the white spot problem has been fixed. i bought a 12" powerbook in january and i bought a 15" two weeks ago. neither have had anything wrong with them, including the white spots.

Awesome! Thanks for your responses! I didn't actually know about the white spot problem until a few days ago, and I got scared because I saw my dreams of owning a new PB going down the drain.
