Just wondering if anyone knows of any places you can find a prev generation ibook particularly the 12" G4 800mhz module in the US besides here and on ebay(ebay because mac stuff is overpriced). I was just talking some buddies in AUS and some they have some places there that are offering great deals. As for apple they don’t have any in their special deals section of the site why I don’t know I would thing they would have a bunch of stuff to get rid of now

These laptops would still be a great option expecialy with a lower price and not that big of a performance hit you can do things like add a ton of ram with the money saved by buying one of them instead of the new module.

You have to look everyday in the Special Deals section. They sell out so quick that it is hard to catch them. They usually have both new and refurbs. As I'm writing this they have a G4 800 for $749 but it only has a CD-ROM.
