It seems slightly less bright compared to the 15" 1Ghz I'm replacing. That aside, it's great. I have one dead pixel, but such is life. I've tried rubbing it, etc. But I don't think she's gonna budge. Perhaps if I try some Shiatsu massage techniques with sacred digital oils or something..

(kidding).
Overall I'm impressed. I'll run the XBench again when I pump it full of RAM.

Your xbench results seem off. Were you running at reduced processor? Those results are slower than my 12"PB Rev A in most parts. Congratulations on the new purchase though.

I have not tweaked anything, it's literally run right out of the box.

He is asking about your power profile in the preferences. There, you can set your PB to maximum speed, automatic, or reduced.

No, the total on the second Xbench post is 118, and most other 1.33 GHz 12"ers are 118-121.

Yours is a 12" PowerBook, correct?

If you took it out of the box and ran it off battery, then that XBench score will be with "Reduced Processor Performance" checked. That's the default when running on battery power.

Is your other score how it ran when you had it plugged into the AC adapter? Because that sounds about right.

And makes my iMac seem slow in comparison...

Your CPU test store about doubled in your second posting which seems about right. They have 12" and 15" with the 1.33GHz processor, the 15" with the Superdrive is the one with a 1.5Ghz processor. No need to be alarmed there.
Are those free-ranged animal crackers?

Man, my brand spanking new 12in Powerbook with 768 RAM comes in with a score of 124 with xBench. I compared it to my friend's 1.25 MD G4 Tower, which has just about the exact same specs, and his came in at 126. We both restarted our computers, and had nothing running in the background. All in all, I'm very happy with the speed of my 12in while doing photo and video editing. Sure, I'm not doing major stuff, just iMovie and iPhoto stuff in my spare time, but its very speedy when trying to edit down half an hours worth of dancing Chinese guys in Lion outfits.

For random Chinese guys being musical, check this out.
