Coming from the 12"PB I expected the 15" PB to be much cooler. It still get's pretty toasty. What's nice is that it's no longer on the palm rest, but at the back of the machine. However last night when transferring all my files (about 50gb worth) it was unbearable on exposed skin. When's the fan supposed to come on? I haven't heard it yet.

On a 1.25GHz 15", the fan comes on when the internal CPU sensor is at 145F. However ThermographX (which I used) doesn't work on the 17" 1.5GHz and I'm sure doesn't work on the new 15" either.

On my two month old PB, the only time it was hot on the back (near the hinge) was when I was charging the PB. Other than that, it was never "hot" anywhere else on the PB.
