I just purchased the 12" powerbook rev. C. I havent notice the fan go on that much (even during the work day).

I was wondering what rev A + B owners thought about the new rev C 12" and how often the fan goes on compared to the older models

Get Temperature Monitor and find out at what temperatures your PowerBook runs, and when the fan turns on and back off again.

My rev B 12" runs normally at roughly 46C/116F and the fan turns on and off at about 48C/118F. Then fan starts rather quiet and gets pretty loud up to its full power at about 60C/140F. The palm rest can get pretty warm, but the hottest part is definitely between esc-f4 keys and the screen. It is however less hot than the rev A.
