Can I use parts from any of these systems to upgrade my 5300cs?

All of those use IDE hard drives with the same mounting holes (on the bottom, I think), and the same floppy drives (once you take them out of the little carrier bay). Some of the 3400 batteries (not the Lithium Ion ones) will work in the 5300 series.

Otherwise, nothing is interchangeable on those devices as far as I know. Any of those are MUCH BETTER machines than the 5300s (from someone with a 5300).
He can be fixed -- you can't.
