hi,

i came across a 512 ram module for my 17" PB ( i can get it real cheap from a friend) the specs are : pc2700 DDR SDRAM 333 MHZ 200 pin.
which match my machine. however, i have no idea if it's apple compatible (certified ?) or not.
the manufacturer is "Dane-elec" .
any idea ?
in any case, does anybody know what are the chances of Generic ram for pc to work with a mac ?
what does incompatible ram mean, is it simply a matter of whether my machine going to recognize it or not ? or are there other performance issues ?

as i am pretty clueless, any kind of help is welcome.

thanx,

nr.

As long as it is notebook RAM, and at least PC 2700, it should work.
