In a matter of a few minutes, you too can drop $6k at Apple:

PowerBook 1.5GHz (15.2" TFT) BTO 128 VRAM, 5400 RPM HDD
Applecare
20" Apple Cinema Display
DVI to ADC plug
20 gig Ipod w/ Applecare
.Mac enrollment
PodiumPad
Brother MFC Printer
Transpod FM
JBL speakers
iPod Incase sleeve
Factor in shipping and another 500 for 2GB RAM and you got 6k easily.

Maybe it's a good thing I can't afford this now, but after graduation I'm splurging Of course in a reasonable manner
Am I ready for the Mac? I want a 60G iPod!!!!!

Before I came to the Mac, I used to lust over the Power Macs at the online Apple Store by BTO configuring them up into the $12,000-15,000 price range.

Ah... Fun times.

Yeah, but isn't it nice that even after a few years ownership the equipment still retains a good deal of it's value. Unlike the otherside of the market - PC's.
