My backpack unzipped and out flopped my 17" right on a wooden floor. My wife said, "what was THAT?" I said, "that was my laptop!" Everyone came running but....no damage whatsoever. It was sleeping and and blinked itself awake, looked around and was fine. I keep the 17" in a really pretty bomb-proof case and inside that in a sleeve. I am so lucky! Thank you Apple for building such a solid machine - 8 months and still in love!

Just to clarify it,
did you drop your PowerBook 17" with sleeve?
OR with bomb-proof case and a sleeve?
OR just PowerBook by itself?
