Have you updated to the latest BlueTooth software from Apple?
If not, try that ... or try re-installing it, or a previous version if available.

I assume you are running 10.3.3? That came with some updates to BlueTooth, I think - could be wrong. I know there was an update separately at some point. There have also been firmware updates, seaparte from actually software version updates, for the built-in adapters and Apple BlueTooth Keyboard and Mice.

Good luck, and maybe I was some help?

I would not revert if I was you. Try deleting the BT preference. Go to Home-Library-Preferences and delete the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist, Repair Permissions, and restart. If that does not work, I would do an Archive and Install. Then I would apply all updates, even BT. Then Repair Permissions.
I am having no prooblems with the BT update. Good luck!

try logging in as a different user, see if that helps. if it does, it'll be a stuffed preference file most likely.

otherwise, I'd be playing around in the bluetooth preference pane. see if you can't get it going from in there.

if that doesn't work (nor the suggestions above this post) I'd take it back to Apple.
