All,
I was in the US last week and visited the Apple store in Cincinnati (Kenwood Towne Center). Two things surprised me.
1) It was an ordinary shopping Mall, not too big either, just tucked away between 'normal' shops.
2) Nice clean design and helpful people. I even asked for some child's software, 'without the American accent' (don't get offended transatlantic cousins, its just that you use different words and linguistic structures that my 3 year old would take time to understand) - and the assitant was helpful and quite amused too!
...but...
they didn't have a PB battery for my 15" Ti! So what kind of store is this? They had batteries for everything else except mine. My Ti is now nearly 2 years old and I get about an hour or so from the battery. Need a new one and its £99 here - bummer.
So I have to pay Gordon (our finance secretary here) 17.5% tax on top of an already expensive item. Got a bit fed up with that.
...oh and they didn't have an iPod mini.
...but all-in-all a great retail experience. Can't wait for London!
