Hi everyone!
I just got my new PB this weekend (15" 1.5) and am LOVING it. The difference between this machine and my old 700 MHz iBook is astounding.
Anyways, I got it pretty much set up how I like it. I got all my favorite programs (ShapeShifter, Candybar, LaunchBar, Fink, etc.) installed and am running comfortably.
However, since I now have a computer with significantly more power, are there any other programs I should try that I wouldn't really be able to run on my old iBook? I will probably be looking to do some video editing/DVD authoring, so I was thinking possibly Final Cut Express. I also have some experience with 3D programs on my PC (namely Maya and Bryce). Is there anything really good I can play with on my Mac? I was thinking possibly Blender since I don't want to drop a ton of money to just play with something, but I'm not sure how that runs on OSX.
Also, any good shareware games or something to just show off a little?
Thanks!

Just curious, have you noticed any white spots on your new 15?
I just ordered a 17" because I am worried about white spots on the 15", but i am considering cancelling the order and getting the 15 to save some money..
thanks..

Nope, no white spots or dead pixels. I am amazed with everything on it. It's fast, speakers are WAY better than my iBook's, screen is gorgeous. Couldn't be happier!
And, a little off topic, but do you happen to be a fellow Suby enthusiast?

Not sure if you've tried uControl before, but I feel it's a must have of it's mouse scroll ability. Makes things from web surfing to editing a document or artwork that much more efficient.

The 17" is only about $100 more expensive when you consider the RAM upgrade. $100 for much more screen space and resolution is not a bad deal.
