Hello,

I have a 15" Apple Studio display connected to my powerbook 15" 1.25 (via Apple DVD to ADC) and it is a great setup which I enjoy, but in the Displays system preference panel there used to be brightness control slide bar for the external LCD but now there isn't. My powerbook screen shows brightness controls in 'Displays' and works normally but the external LCD is on full brightness all the time now and at night it can be too bright.

Any advice?

I also used to be able to press the (flat) button on the face of the LCD to bring up 'Displays' but now the button just lights up when I press it and nothing happens. That might be a clue......??
