Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to format and reinstall on my new PB and was wondering if anyone has doen it yet, and if so is all the software on the restore CDs. Such as the Omni stuff, I don't really want to loose those programs, but there is alot of stuff I am interested in losing in the process. Thanks.

All recent and current Macs ship with restore DVDs. (The ones that include GarageBand are two discs, the ones without is just one disc.)

You install OS X using the disc, and then (once booted into the fresh OS X), you install Software Restore, and run it, which copies the other stuff from the DVD to the hard drive.

Hi, a friend of mine has a first gen PB runing 10.0 (u can imagine that this is no fun in my opinion (PB 1.25 with 10.3)
anyways, how do I install 10.3 on such a machine, especially since I have 10.3 only on a dvd- if he buys 10.3 does it come with cds to install???
