Just a quick question to anyone who has this system, or one similar to it. I just noticed in activity monitor that the majority of my apps are using about 180 to 220MB of virtual memory disk space. This seems like a whole lot to me. One root process (kernal_task) is using about 588MB. This brings the total system to be using about 4.89GB of VM space. My friend's system is kinda high too I guess, about 3GB.

Is this normal? I can't ever recall it being so high. Does adding more ram prevent it from getting this high? Pretty strange that it's using so much.

Oh and I tried rebooting, but its still the same. Thanks.
