I have a 512MB RAM chip from an iBook G4. I know the iBook's RAM is PC2100 and the PowerBook is PC2700. Will this work in my PowerBook 15"?

The PC2700 can be substituted for the PC2100 but it'll work at PC2100 speed. As for the vice versa, I dont think it'll work but I'm not 100% on it.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

No. PC2100 RAM will not work in any 167 MHz bus machine, including the 15" Aluminum Powerbook.
