Hi,
I have a PowerBook G3 Series that has a bad battery. Lately it has decided to power up only sometimes.
I need to discard the power adapter as a source of the problem, but the closest thing I have is the power adapter for a Titanium PowerBook G4.

Can it be used on the older PBG3 ?

Thx

Hmm, I think the actual adaptors have changed over the years, and are now narrower (or is that larger?) than they used to be.

Athough, I was sold a yo-yo adaptor by Apple as a replacement for my Wallstreet power brick a while back. The yo-yo at the time was supplied with the iBooks, G3 Powerbooks and also the early TiBooks.

I guess there is a fair chance it may work, but I would be very very careful.

the new adapters are NOT compatible with the older ones. the newer ones are smaller.

you can get one that is compatible here:

i would suggest the black brick, because the cords are thicker and wont break like the flimsy apple ones.

If you have a black brick, some were recalled. You could ask about that, and maybe get a new adapter for free. BUT it will be a yo-yo. Not Apple's best design.

Other power adpaters won't work. Even the yo-yo replacement my PBG3 got is not the same as a TiBook yo-yo. Different plug.
