I have a brand new PBG4 17 1.5GHz running under build 7G43 (cam e preinstalled). I see the effect that the left speaker drops out, i. e. goes silent. After boot there is everything ok, but if I run for example iTunes after some time 60+ secs. the left speaker shuts down!
Anyone else seeing something like this?
Hardware problem? Driver problem?
Wait for 10.3.4?

There may be people with this problem, but I'm not seeing anything like this at all in a 1.5GHz 17".

Did you install all the latest updates and Patches (most notably QT6.5.1 and iTunes4.5)?

Yes, I have all the latest installed (QT 6.5.1 and iTunes 4.5). Note that the threads you refer to, the posters are not rev c 17" machines. This doesn't mean there isn't a problem for some, but it there is it's not rev c specific.

Right, the problem seems to be specific to the 17" PBG4 (no indication of anything like this in the 15" discussions) but not specific to rev C.
