Just got my first Mac. I've been awake now for 2 straight days. This thing is amazing. Not one single dead pixel, I was so relieved. Just wanted to ask a quick question. How hot do your Powerbooks get? I installed one of those CPU temp Konfabulators and mine has gotten up to 120 degrees F. Is that normal? Thanks for all your help, these forums here at MacNN are one of the major reasons I decided to get the Book. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

P.S.: I also selling two 256 mb RAM chips. They are the ones that came stock with the book. They are Samsung 2700 cl 2.5. If anyone is interested just ask.

I could also use some help using SuperCal. I can't seem to find the online users manual. Any help would be appreciated.

Both my 1.25 and 1.5 have run about 143-147 F while crunching distributed.net (100% CPU for hours on end.) No component failures yet.

You sure this wasn't down to the problem people are having with Airport dropping the connection and requiring a reboot? Or was the card completely DOA.

it was DOA, they mistakenly shipped his replacemnt for the first one before he sent them him the noisy one. he had both at once, the noisy one (revB #1) had agood AP card, it didnt work either in other revB (#2). so #2 supposedly had a bad AP card slot. he sent both back now and his new one should be there today, they gave him 79 for hiis trouble and have shipped both replacements priority, may help a little that we're both good friends with the apple rep at our compusa
