It is my understanding that logic board problems are only with G3 ibooks, correct? I see some peoples responses that if it goes out it is no big problem just send it and get it fixed. That is a major problem. I use my computer everyday. What kind of computer user has no problem sending their computer off for a couple of weeks? Anyhow, no known problems with the G4, right?

I think that the logic board issue has been for the most part fixed on the G4 machines.

Anyhows, it is no longer a major issue like in the G3 days.

Remembering that these forums are for people having probs with their iBooks, it's easy to think reading here that all the iBooks are a nightmare, I have to admit I do know a couple of people who had problems with their G3 iBooks, as well as those who've had no probs (myself included), 2 friends have G4 iBooks and it has been plain sailing for them so far. Especially seeing as this would, did and has, caused a lot of bad press for Apple, I'm sure it was a priority to recitfy the issue in the G4 iBooks.
