Hi,

I just bought a 17", 1GB, 512MB, 60GB from eBay. I got an OK deal, but not fabulous. I can still buy Applecare for it.

OR, I can sell it for roughly what I bought it for and get a 15" that comes with Applecare (2.5yrs) and is at least as fast w/ all other specs the same.

I think I can sell the 17" for $1950. Am I high or is that a reasonable sell price?

I'm pretty sure I can purchase a 15" w/ Applecare for around $1600.

That's a savings of $600-700 if I include Applecare on the 17".

The only other consideration is the hours of reconfiguring another machine now that I've got the 17" just the way I want it...

Could you please give me some feedback one way or another????????

Thanks!

The only thing the Rev A 17" has is a 17" scren. 256 L2 cache is half of what is now standard, SD is only 1x, the bottom isn't as nice as the new 17" models. My Rev B 12" scores 3 points less then my cuz' 17" Rev A which has 1gb of RAM. I would go with the 15" Alu if I were you. Both are great but the 15" is my choice.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

Once you're used to 1400x900 pixels it's hard to go for less. I sold my Cinema Display a few months ago and kind of regret it. I feel cramped now.

Keep the 17". Wonderful screen, runs cooler, and fewer display issues than the 15" Al.
