My iBook battery appears to be zapped- it's now only offering an hour and a half of working time before needing to be recharged. I tried calibration, but it doesn't work (and one strange thing- even after the battery is in reserve, it will hold sleep mode for over 14 hours, which can't be right...)
I have a few questions- which battery will my iBook take? It's a dual USB, 14.1", 700/256 and I'm getting a ton of conflicting info.
Does anyone have a source for good batteries at a decent price? I looked on pricegrabber and on ebay and they all list conflicting numbers and info for the batteries this machine will take.
Any info greatly appreciated.

As far as I can tell the battery didn't change from the iBooks with dual USB and G3 processors to the iBooks with G4 processors. If the battery wouldn't work in one or the other I'm sure Apple would've added a battery to their store just for that model that wouldn't work with the older battery, but they didn't so I'm guessing that the battery works for all dual USB iBooks.

1.5 hours is not exactly a battery that is shot. I didn't replace mine until it got down to 30 minutes. By Apple's standards, though, if you only get an hour or less and the battery is less than a year old, they will replace it under warranty. This policy just changed a few weeks ago.
