I just got a new Powerbook 15" 1.5ghz machine.

I am upgrading from a Rev A iBook, so please forgive my ignorance. What are the icons on the F9 and F10 keys. I ask this b/c my Expose was defaulted to use these keys, and whenever I pushed f9 or f10 I would see the icon on these keys with a white "Ghostbusters" sign. (the symbol has the same look adn feel as when hitting the volume/brughtness controls).

So I changed my Expose settings to use F12 in lieu of F10, and Expose now works fine when I push F12, showing me all open windows in an app. (I did not change F9 so I still get the greyed out symbol with with a ghostbusters icon under it)

So can anyone tell me what that symbol is and why it's interfering with Expose?

While I'm at it, what are F7 and F8's symbols supposed to mean?

Thank you,

O
B unce!

Those are for setting the illumination level of your keyboard. It only works when the ambient light sensors in the speakers detect that there is a small amount of light to activate the illuminated keyboard. To use expose with those keys, you can hold down the "fn" key in the lower left hand corner and it will give the F keys their function other than that of the icon on the keys.
It's just an ordinary day and it's all your
state of mind, at the end of the day, you
just gotta say it's alright!
