so i've had my PB for about 2 weeks now and i just noticed that on the side of the PB, by the delete key, the aluminum casing is not completely flush with the plastic bezel above it. it is the upper half of the area where the slotl-loading drive is. it sticks out maybe 1mm or so and is only noticable if you pay attention to that area. funny thing is i noticed that the display model at a mac store, tekserve, also had this problem albeit the aluminum in that case (no pun intended) appeared as if someone tried to pry it open/apart.

do any of you people have this problem too or am i just overly paranoid? will my little 1 mm "jutting out" turn into that chasm of a gap seen in the display model at tekserve? do you think i could apply pressure (consistently overnight maybe) to push the aluminum back into place?

thanks

I didn't have that problem in that area but one night my 12 inch pb got really hot for some reason and the part in the front left popped out about half an inch. It won't bend back in place so I wouldn't bother trying. I would probably take it to your local apple store if you have one near you. They replaced the entire lower case on mine.
