I tried to do it via the iLife DVD, but I didn't see an option. Do you just drag it into the trash?

Thanks!

Pretty sure you can just drop it in the trash.

However, can I be so intrusive as to ask why you want to get rid of it?

You can just drag Garageband to the trash. I did it the other night. I can understand wanting to delete it. It's a huge file and a waste of space if you don't use it.

I don't use it, and just like what eatinwokout said, it takes up a lot of space.

Thanks for the solution!

Don't forget to trash the folder with all the loops in it:

/Library/application Support/Garage Band

1.81 GB in there, besides the app.

Also remove /User/Shared/GrageBand Demo Songs/
It has 5 demo songs with 358.6MB size.

A cmd-F and search for GarageBand should let you find all the stuff you need to delete. Did delete my GB too, too big on a small PowerBook disk.
