Use the PC to make a disk image and put that on your iPod. Copy the disk image to the macs internal hard drive. Use that to install the OS on the iPod and boot from the iPod (not recommended by Apple). From there, format your internal hard drive and reinstall the OS from the install image that was already on the iPod.

Otherwise, your options are as follows: find another Mac that has firewire; get the superdrive fixed/replaced; get an external firewire hard drive; get an external firewire CD-ROM drive.
