Hi I didn't find any search results on this one so I ask:

It seems like my superdrive has problems in writing a DVD. When I try to use Toast it says it is waiting for the writer. After trying several times (sound in the superdrive) it releases the empty DVD and says "insert a blank CD".

Anyone with the same problem? I have a "Rev B" PB 15''.

The superdrive can ineed burn normal CDs, so it seems like it is a DVD write isue.

Regards

Have you tried different disks? Most burners are not compatible with all types of media. Different brands of media can also make a difference.

ACSA 10.4/10.3, ACTC 10.3, ACHDS 10.3

I guess I would also have to ask what version of Toast you are running?

I had issues until I fully updated to the latest.

No, I have only tried one brand. Which known DVDs functions with the SuperDrive? I will try to buy another tomorrow.

TDK seems to run fine on my 17" Rev A. Do you have iDVD and will it burn DVD's? Can you burn a DVD using Disk Utility?
