this may sound stupid, but how do i use iKlear properly?

and whats the difference between the bottle it comes with and the wet wipes? and will it leave streaks? can i use it on the trackpad?

is the bottle a polish or a cleaner?

thanks.

Not a stupid question at all!

As far as I know, the fluid in the bottle is the same stuff as on the wipes.

iKlear is both a cleaner and a polish. It will leave streaks straight after application, and it needs to be buffed with a soft polishing cloth for a couple of minutes to get a clean, smooth finish. It can take quite some buffing to get the streaks to go away, but they do go away eventually (for me at least!). I have a set of microfibre polishing cloths which came with my iKlear pack.

I use it on my PowerBook LCD. If you are cleaning an LCD, it is important to be gentle when polishing the surface, and don't apply any undue pressure, or you may damage the display. I would also recommend that you gently wipe away any dust and debris first, before applying the iKlear.

I have a small scratch on my LCD, and I have found iKlear to be very effective in reducing the appearance of the scratch. Apparently it leaves a polymer coating on the display, which seems to fill in the scratch somewhat. Before i used iKlear, the scratch was quite visible on a light background. Now it is almost invisible, even under close inspection.

all very true.

i use one side of the cloth to wipe the liquid around then flip it over to dry it off and get rid of the streaks. comes out immaculate.

I've found the generic stuff from office depot seems to work better than iKlear. I don' have to be as careful with getting the streaks out.
