Well, with the glum speculation on the G5 front, the powerbook forum seems to have ground to a halt.

Not that there's a paucity of postings, just a paucity of excitement. There's no blood roiling, no fingers twtiching ready to punch in credit card numbers, no tracking info on recent shipments, no opening-the-box photos.

Just the run of the mill, "something is broken, should I buy the 15 or the 12, does an undergrad student really need a laptop", style postings. That's all well and good, and it's great that people have a place to discuss those issues.

But, oh man, how I remember the days, for example, leading up to the intro of the Ti with the superdrive in 2002.

I weep for the youth of today, exposed to the ennui of the powerbook future.
