Hello,
Could some kind person post pictures showing the 12" and 14" iBook G4s side by side? I've searched and couldn't find any. I know there must be some out there. Thanks!

Thanks for the pictures. Still, if anyone does come across photos of the current iBooks G4s please post them here. I remember when the iBook G4s first came out there were a ton of pictures showing them side by side and even stacked on top of each other for size comparison. Naturally I cannot find any trace of them now. I have a 12" now currently and considering the 14" for the Superdrive but am unsure. Looking at that one photo above I forget how nice the Pismo PowerBook was. I miss the curves.

Look here for stacked ones. BTW these are G3's, but so what.

Wow, the 14-inch-ers look quite larger compared to the 12's. I'll be purchasing a 14" solely because of the optional SuperDrive.
I've never seen the 12" in comparison to the 14" before (need to get to an Apple store) but I looked at some 12" PC's in-store and they were quite small (for myself anyhow). Hopefully the 14" one will still be comfortably portable.

I've just got a 14" iBook & can't see it being a problem to transport. My last laptop (a hp) was a 14" as well & that was fine to get about, I took it to college most days, the only down side was I found it heavy but that was partly the bag & laptop. The HP was so much heavier than the iBook.

oreo75> That's good to hear. The most I'll be transporting it will probably be around the house and maybe to work a few times. I've already picked up a lightweight bag to carry it in.
We are going on a road trip in a couple weeks so I want to have it by then so we can have internet while we're away and watch movies on the road.

I just purchased a 14" iBook with Superdrive. I agonized about whether to purchase a 12" iBook or PB or the 14" iBook. I decided that the 12" screen was too small for my over 50's eyes and I thought the 12" PB screen didn't look as nice compared to the iBook, at least in the store. I also figured the 1.2ghz iBook performance is close enough to the 12" PB, the iBook comes with Appleworks and Quicken and when I buy Applecare it'll be $100 cheaper than the PB Applecare.
Now that I've got my 14" iBook home it seems small to me and I don't even think about the size differences and whether I made the right choice.
