Cool, thanks. I figure 60 GB + 5400 RPM + 16MB cache @ under $140 is a good deal.

I have heard that the Toshiba 5400rpm model with 16 MB of cache is a bit of a gimmick... as in, the large amount of cache doesn't really help, and it's louder than the Hitachi equivalent (although I haven't copared them myself). At least check out the 60 GB Hitachi as well, and also see what the 7200 RPM one would cost. If the 5400 RPM is significantly cheaper, just stay with that.

I'm considering upgrading my HD in my Rev B 12" and can't decide with what drive to go with. 5400 vs 7200, 60gig vs 80gig, Toshiba vs Hitachi, all these thoughts with no experience worries me. Can people with good experiences after HD upgrades please comment, and also people with negative experiences. Would I be better off with just getting a 120gig ext HD?

I've heard 7200 is a battery killer.
