possible to install os 9 classic on new powerbooks?

when i went to format my drive, there showed no options to install os9 drivers on the drive... please help, i really need to install os9 classic, i have an albook 17"

is this possible, because i do see an option for classic under the system prefs... so there has to be a way...

i still have the os 9.2 install cd

There should be "Classic" software on one of the CD's that came with your Aluminum Powerbook. It behaves like OS9 but not entirely. You can't install OS9 from an older Powerbook CD anymore the old fashioned way, neither will the AL boot into OS9 Classic. Although Mac OS 10 is great Apple still comes up with some dumb ideas, like banning good old OS9 booting and clinging to the neanderthal 1 button mouse. Thank God for third party mices.
