Which is worse on an LCD display, a stuck pixel or a dead pixel?

I don't see the nuance...
Maybe stuck can be fixed with a massage

Dead
Stuck is stuck, dead is dead
Stuck might be fixed, dead cannot be resurrected

Definitely stuck!
A dead pixel just remains black, whereas especially bright red stuck pixels ruin your DVD playback experience. They really do if they are dead center on the screen...

A dead one, because then you have to explain to all the other pixels what happened to that one, and then they might get scared. Turn yellow.

Both result in the same general thing.
The difference is moot.

Depends... if you have a pixel stuck on red, they're very annoying (I had 4 on an old powerbook duo in the mid-90s.) but if they are a lighter color, they're not as bad.

bingo, was gonna say the same thing. to me, when it is black (dead) it looks like a dust speck .. something u can overlook .. like dust on a windshield .. but if you have a stuck pixel, it's like having a red, green, or blue led on a windshield .. it grabs your attention
