I am about to buy a brand new 15" Powerbook in a couple of weeks, but am waiting for WWDC and Tiger. If I wait until WWDC, will they be shipping Tiger with the Powerbooks?

So still just buy the Powerbook now, Tiger isn't COMING OUT soon, just being announced? So how much will Tiger cost me if I choose to upgrade that from Panther? I know it can't be exact, but from the past, what is an estimate price. Thanks!

Apple offers all buyers who purchase a PB or PowerMac an option to upgrade for about 30 bucks; the thing is: you have to buy your Mac approximately 3 months before the new version of OS X comes out.
They did that last time anyway.

Yeah-Steve will just show what TIGER can do.
Panther cost around 130 bucks.

It'll probably be a while before you could get a PowerBook with Tiger on it.. maybe end of the year?

I would say then at the latest. I think Apple has announced Tiger will be the last yearly major release in the OS X line, so I would think before the end of the year.

So still just get the Powerbook now, but there will be no way either if I get it now to upgrade within the 3 months thing to TIger. I am not complaining, just asking. I can always use the EDU discount and get it for around 60$. NOt bad, just wondering. thanks alot for your input!
