Hey, i just got a 17" 1.33 pbook, and bought an additional 512mb pc2700 from crucial. When i installed it, the computer will boot up and get to the desktop, and about 10 seconds later, the screen dims and tells me to restart. I do, and the same thing happens. What is going on? Ive swapped slots around too and still the same problem

I think your getting kernel panics. Either the RAM isn't seated right or the RAM is bad, try installing it again and if it happens once more return the RAM and get your money back or another one.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

I've had the same problem with my 15" PB, most likely you will have to return the RAM ...
Try reseating it first, as advised by iREZ ...
