I'm having some issues with the "Y" key on my 1gz 14" book. It doesn't want to recognize being pressed all the time. If i press it in the lower left portion of the key is seem to work better. It acts as though something may be stuck under there. Can these keys be poped off and put back on like desktop keyboards. It's not really life threatening, but it is kind of annoying.

Thanks

Ernie

yep they are simple enough to take of just a small ammount of force and they will come off.
the scissors underneath are roumoured to be fragile but i remove keys often for a clean and they are fine just be a little carefull.

id also do it in finder or with the machien(sp - i hate that word) off otherwise when you push it back on (wait till you hear a click) you will essentially be pushing the button.

oh just in case if it goes wrong then this post is advice - i dont want to be blamed for a breakage so be carefull

Thanks for the advise. I hope I'm careful enough.
