First thing: Are you sure you have BT on the laptop?

Based on the URL for the picture, I believe that he has a 15" PowerBook.

yeah. i have a 15" PB Alu 1GHz. And im pretty sure i have the built-in bluetooth module.
I've search on some forums, some ppl seems to fix the problem by:
1- shutdown the PB
2- hold alt+ctrl+shift then the power button then release
3- wait for 5 sec
4- start-up
some suggest to remove the battery and wait for few second.
if tried all, but still getting the same error.

I think it's time to ship that sucker off to Apple. Thats the first time I've seen that message on a PB. I'd call Apple and see what fix they have in order (I doubt they'll have one), and if nothing works just accept the fact that you'll be powerbookless for two to three days.

ok just verified through http://www.apple-history.com that the model you have does indeed have internal bluetooth. I agree that it is time to ship it off to Apple!

Sounds like the advice to get it serviced is sound. By the way, one easy way to check for bluetooth is: Blue apple menu>about this Mac>more info>hardware>usb>usb bus.... on my bluetooth enabled PB, bluetooth is listed under that final category on the usb device tree. Not listed, no bluetooth I think.
