I just wanted to share my story regarding the logic board repair on my iBook.

Here I was happily surfing the net Monday afternoon and when I went to adjust the angle of the screen it happened, lines across the screen, a few flashes, and then nothing. That's the bad part.

Here's the good part. I called Apple Monday afternoon. The pre-paid shipping box was on my front porch early Tuesday morning. I dropped the package off to be shipped back Tuesday afternoon and my iBook was returned to me, repaired, first thing Thursday morning. Two and a half days total. That's pretty impressive if you ask me.

I had the same exact experience with my G3 900mhz iBook. I sent the box with the computer out Tuesday evening and had it back Thursday morning at 10am!

I was so pleased with the speed and quality of the repair. I was afraid that they would wipe my HD so I copied the contents off of it before i shipped it out via booting in target mode, which I have to say is a reason alone that anyone should switch to a mac! What a lifesaver!

I was very sad when it broke and it made me realize how much it had become a part of me and my daily life, but I'm happily using it once again now
