well at first i thought it was my mouse they kept dying on me, and eventually it would only work in one port, and the same for my flash drive, but recently both ports completely stopped working......anyone know what to do? or how to replace this?

Regardless of the model of the machine, that's the logic board. The easy way to verify that this is a hardware problem is to hook up a keyboard and/or mouse and see if the issue is the same when booted into a hardware mode. e.g. boot into open firmware. Can you type? Boot up holding down the option key. Does the mouse move? If it works, you have some weird software problem going on... but unfortunately, it's not likely this will work.
