Just real quick... I know the best way to learn OS X is to play with it yourself, but are there any books that help? I know the missing manual stuff is good, but any other input? Or how did you all switchers get used to it? I doubt it will be even that hard!

i just got my mac setup four days ago and i'm mostly familiar with the basics

just work on it like you would a pc ... and when you run into anything you don't know how to do ... search system preferences (ex: the hotkeys section under the keyboard was very helpful) and browse through the hard drive to see if you can figure it out yourself.
If not, search MacOSX FAQs online ... and if that fails post here?

there are many guides and manuals (check amazon.com) but that's money and time I haven't spent, i would also appreciate it if someone could reccommend a good title

overall for me its been a pretty smooth transition. (i've haven't had a problem last more than a day)
good luck! its a great ride

btw, check out expose ... its awesome (under sys prefs)

Tip: Recent Convert

If you recently made your way to Panther from a Windows computer, you may be wondering where all your familiar controls are. Not to worry. If you know what it's called in Windows-speak, you can use Panther's useful Windows To Mac glossary to find it on your Mac. Press command shift ? (question mark) to open Mac Help, and type Glossary in the search field. You'll see a list of Windows features and panels along with their Mac counterparts.
